Elina Avanesyan hopes she will be able to communicate in Armenian soon
Russian Armenian tennis player Elina Avanesyan, No. 49, said during a press conference in Yerevan that her family comes from Artsakh.
“My family is from Nagorno-Karabakh. Very often they address me in Armenian at home, I try to answer sometimes in Russian, sometimes in Armenian. I understand everything perfectly well, I’m just not sure I can communicate in Armenian. Maybe next time I will be able to communicate in Armenian,” she said.
