Speaking with Alpha News, editor and publicist Vache Brutyan analyzed the new tactics of the Sacred Struggle Movement and the message of Bagrat Srbazan live on Public Television.

“The fact that the movement wanted to send a message to the people from the air of Public Television was a new bar. The authorities, of course, immediately opposed this. Their move was to let Bagrat Srbazan come and take him to Petros Ghazaryan so that Petros defeats the Archbishop with his snarky and petty questions on air. This was the government’s approach.

There is no other way to explain the fact that a few minutes after the march reached the building of 1TV, director Harutyun Movsisyan came down. At the first superficial glance, people could think that something was off with the authorities; that is why the main person in charge of the company came to talk with the Archbishop,” Vache Brutyan said.

According to him, the authorities adhered to their tactics, and something else was hidden behind the director’s willingness to talk to Bagrat Srbazan.

“We all enjoyed what happened. First, the talks between the representatives of the Sacred Struggle and the director. Then the fact that a middle ground was found. The members of the movement said: We did not come to give an interview, we came to send a message. A middle ground was found, thanks to which Srbazan addressed the public, then Petros tried to intervene. It is indisputable that the Archbishop did not fall into the trap set by Petros,” Vache Brutyan concluded.
