Armenia participated in development but did not sign draft declaration, says Russia MFA spox

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a press briefing that Armenia participated in the development but then did not sign the draft declaration “On the principles of ensuring security in Eurasia” adopted at the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.

“Yerevan made proposals on the text, many of which were taken into account. At the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers, however, the Armenian minister did not sign the text of the declaration,” Zakharova said.

The diplomat suggested asking Armenian officials about the reasons for this decision.
