Georgia to not attend meeting of 3+3 platform in Istanbul

The Georgian side will not attend the talks in Istanbul on October 18 as part of the 3+3 platform on the South Caucasus, the press office of the Georgian Foreign Ministry told TASS.

“We will not participate. Georgia has long stated that it does not work in the specified format,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry’s press office said.

The day before, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said that Ararat Mirzoyan would take part in the third meeting of the consultative regional platform 3+3 on the South Caucasus on October 18 in Turkey. Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that the third meeting of the Foreign Ministers in 3+3 format would be held in Istanbul with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Russia also confirmed its participation in the meeting.
