The 3+3 format is a mechanism for peace and stability in the South Caucasus, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a press briefing on Wednesday.

“This format is an opportunity to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economy, transport and logistics, cultural, and humanitarian sectors,” Zakharova said.

She reiterated that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will leave for Istanbul to participate in the 3+3 regional meeting on October 17-18.
