Armenia to host COP17 UN Biodiversity Conference 

In 2026, Armenia is set to host the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity, Armenian Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan reported on Facebook.

“With 65 votes in favor, Armenia was selected as the host country for the Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity,” he added. 

The event is dedicated to discussing environmental issues and finding solutions to stop climate change and protect biodiversity.
