Moldovan residents have felt all the ’embellishments’ of Sandu’s rule, so they gave their answer — Dmitry Kiseyev
Speaking with Alpha News, Dmitry Kiseyev, a lawyer from Moldova, commented on the results of the presidential runoff in the country. The expert emphasized that now it is time to prepare for parliamentary elections.
“Her failed domestic policy led to the fact that the residents did not appreciate all that she did. The diaspora has no access to this policy. The diaspora lives in its own world; it lives in Europe; it does not feel the results of her rule. There, dreams and fantasies prevail over reality. And the people inside Moldova have felt all the ’embellishments’ of her rule, so they gave their answer. I believe there will be no riots, no protests. Simply because they have no sense. Protests are necessary when you need to talk about violations or when you need to demand a recount. In this case, the recount will do nothing, because in any case, these votes and ballots are there.
It is almost impossible to confirm technically whether real signatures were put and whether real people participated. Therefore, protests and discontent of people on the street will do little in this case. Now we have parliamentary elections ahead of us. We need to prepare for them; that is the most important thing now. Here the question is whether we should allow the diaspora to vote or not. Now we can only talk about the parliamentary elections, that they should be held fairly. I have huge doubts this will be ensured by the current government,” Kiseyev said.
According to the expert, the current government feeds the diaspora with illusions about what will happen in Moldova.
“The diaspora sees life in Europe, the United States and Canada. And Mrs. Sandu won their votes first of all by saying that Moldova will live the same way as people in Europe, the USA and Canada. This is all very elementary and is calculated on the fact that people will want to have the same life in Moldova. But they do not see the real implementation of this policy. The diaspora does not feel the consequences and therefore lives in such illusions. The current government feeds the diaspora with illusions about what will happen in Moldova, and this is its key to success,” Kiseyev concluded.
