Macron and Tokayev agreed that the peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan will promote a just and stable peace in the region while respecting the territorial integrity of the two states and the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration. The presidents underscored the importance of stability in the South Caucasus for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
The presidents also reaffirmed their joint commitment to strengthening peace, security, and stability at the global and regional levels.
The declaration was signed during Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to Paris.
