Armenia and Azerbaijan will resume discussions over a peace agreement next month, Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev told TASS on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku.

“At the moment, Azerbaijan’s primary agenda is COP29 through the end of November. Starting in December, a new process will likely begin between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding discussions and continued talks on the peace agreement,” he said.

According to Hajiyev, there are specific issues within the agreement’s text.

“Therefore, expert-level discussions and talks are ongoing because the Armenian side did not respond to our proposals on the peace agreement text in a timely manner. We are sensing a delayed process in this context. Starting in December, a new process will likely begin,” he added.
