Preparation process to build new image of Armenia is underway — Alexander Tsinker
Speaking with Alpha News, Director of the Institute of Eastern Europe and the CIS in Israel Alexander Tsinker commented on the news that the West has allowed Ukraine to strike Russia with long-range missiles, the resignation of a number of high-ranking officials in Armenia, as well as the possibility of an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East with Donald Trump in the White House.
“As the Prime Minister put it, this is the beginning of a new stage of state governance. New goals and new functions may be set. Probably, at some stage, it is necessary to analyze what has been implemented since the election and up to today. Now, apparently, it is necessary to create a different image, in the full sense of the word; probably for this reason the Prime Minister shaved his beard; now he also has a new image. That is, all this is the preparation to build a new image of both the leader and the entire government, and Armenia as a whole,” Tsinker said.
The West’s permission to use long-range weapons against Russian territory is an attempt to force Russia to peace, the expert noted.
“What Biden said refers to one of the types of missiles, because some are already in use, others are not yet. The White House has not confirmed this definitively. Afterwards, France and Great Britain announced that they were also ready to give this permission. Then some of these statements were removed from the websites, but the situation is gradually escalating. Often, before preparing for peace, military action begins to intensify, as, for example, in Israel. Now there is talk that there is already a chance of concluding an agreement between Israel and Lebanon based on a UN decision, but at the same time, military action has intensified. The same is quite possible here. The fact that the West gave the Ukrainians permission to use their weapons more actively is an attempt to force Russia to peace,” Tsinker said.
Speaking about the possibility of an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East with Trump in the office, the expert said that Trump will look at everything through the prism of how beneficial it is for America.
“Trump said that he came not to start wars but to end them. Therefore, we hope that wars will really end. When people come to the White House and start working, naturally, each minister, or as they call it, secretary, does what is first and foremost good for America. Therefore, every action that will be related to the Middle East will be considered through the prism of how good it is for America. For example, Israel wants to attack Iran, and America will consider how good it is for America. But I note that after the election, after Trump’s victory, the rhetoric in Iran has changed a little. They are scared of Trump coming to power and the formation of a pro-Israeli government,” Alexander Tsinker concluded.
