The countries of the South Caucasus should be cautious and work together, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told reporters at the second public forum “Russia-Armenia”.

“If we move to the Transcaucasia in this context, we have just witnessed how the Georgian leadership and Georgian society have been subjected to the most brutal, simply insulting attacks and brutal pressure from the collective West just because the leadership dared to defend traditional values from the West’s point of view,” he said. “It pursued a pragmatic policy that meets the national interests of the Georgian people. This is very close to Armenia. We see these bombs of Western interference falling everywhere.”

“I believe that all countries in the Caucasus and their neighbors need to be very careful and cautious. We need to take measures together to ensure that the problems of the Caucasus are solved by the Caucasians themselves,” the deputy foreign minister added.

He noted that this is why the Russian side “attaches great importance to the development of the 3+3 consultative-regional platform on the South Caucasus”.
