Armenian delegation returns from Delphic Games in Russia with medals

The Third Open Youth Arctic Delphic Games and the 18th Youth Delphic Games of the CIS member states were held in the Komi Republic, Russia, on November 22-26. The program included competitions in 10 folk, classical, and modern categories.

With the support of the Armenian Youth Delphic Games and the professional selection of the Armenian National Delphic Committee, the Armenian delegation participated in the games with 6 participants in the piano, violin, folk instruments and fine arts categories. 

Armenian representatives won 2 gold and 2 silver medals and 2 diplomas at the event. The gold medals were awarded to Elen Khachikyan in the piano nomination (14-17 years old) and Eduard Dayan in the violin nomination (14-17 years old). Lilit Petrosyan (folk instruments, 18-25 years old) and Eduard Simonyan (piano, 10-13 years old) took silver. 

The games gathered about 600 people; the jury included about 40 prominent figures of culture and science of Russia. 

The official closing ceremony and gala concert took place on November 25.
