Aggression and the spirit needed to achieve specific goals gradually subside — Dimitri Lortkipanidze

Live on Alpha News, Dimitri Lortkipanidze, a member of the Georgian Parliament of the 7th convocation, commented on the protests in Tbilisi and noted that, unlike other proven methods of “Maidanization”, the protesters cannot gain a foothold.
“Protests on Tbilisi’s central avenue have been going on for five days now; the authorities are using all permitted methods to prevent actions that could seriously harm state interests. Despite this, the attack continues, and we can say directly that this is a paid coven, which has its own goals and is very well organized. As experts have calculated, about 2 or 3 containers of pyrotechnics alone were used. Do you know what they do? They take 900 mm pipes, attach these pyrotechnic products inside, and fire them off in one go.
This, of course, is fraught with very bad consequences because it is very dangerous to life. It should be noted and emphasized that our security forces do not use methods such as rubber bullets, because on June 20, 2019, when the so-called Gavrilov’s Night occurred, many protesters suffered from the use of rubber bullets, and now there was not even a single such shot. I will tell you that the vanguard of law enforcement, the so-called Department for Special Assignments, is doing a very good job.
Of course, there were some violations of the rights of specific individuals, and these facts have been revealed, and as far as I know, criminal cases have been opened. Our special services and the Prosecutor General’s Office have opened criminal cases on the overthrowing of the government and acts of violence against the constitutional order of the country, and we think that very soon specific facts of criminal prosecution against specific individuals will be revealed.
The protests are already in their fifth day, but I would like to note that, unlike the classic form of ‘Maidanization’, our processes differ from the Kyiv and other proven methods since our protesters cannot gain a foothold. That is, the protesters cannot make a permanent stronghold from where they can conduct other, more brutal force processes. That is, the fifth day of protests has brought them nothing, and gradually the aggression is dying down, and the spirit that is needed to achieve some specific goals subsides,” Dimitri Lortkipanidze emphasized.
