Chaos is possible in Aleppo, and we are in a state of waiting, editor of Aleppo’s Gandzasar weekly Zarmik Boghikian told Alpha News.

“The situation in Aleppo at the moment is calm. We are in a state of waiting. The city is completely under the control of the opposition, but there are Kurds on the outskirts. Everyone is waiting to see how the political picture develops. At the moment there are economic difficulties. People have not returned to the normal rhythm of life. Everyone is cautious because chaos is possible. The management system is not clearly organized, and in this regard, it may be unsafe,” she said.

Boghikian once again emphasized that the main difficulties at the moment are economic, with the local Armenian community being given a helping hand by the leaders of the community and Armenian unions.

“The leaders of the community care about the local Armenians. In cooperation with the Armenian unions, they try to do everything possible for the safety and survival of the community,” Boghikian said.
