Amidst serious security challenges, it is extremely important to strengthen our army — Karekin II

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II addressed a message on the Armenian Army Day.

“On the occasion of the Armenian Army Day, we bring our Patriarchal blessing and best wishes from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to the officers and soldiers of our army and to our entire nation. In the sacred task of defending our new independent statehood and the rights of our people, the role and contribution of the Armenian army are invaluable. Amidst the serious security challenges facing our state today, it is of utmost importance to further strengthen our army so that our soldiers can continue their sacred mission of defending the homeland with high combat efficiency and unwavering spirit.

Love and devotion to the homeland and fidelity to national values have always been and will remain the solid basis for the great service and feats of the servicemen. We offer prayers for the repose of the souls of the brave soldiers who fell for the defense of the homeland,” the Catholicos said in his address.
