In a conversation with journalists, ARF-D Bureau member and Co-Chair of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France Mourad Papazian revealed the details of the meeting he had with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, with French President Emmanuel Macron participating.
According to Papazian, in the presence of French President Macron, he asked the prime minister why he was banned from entering Armenia, to which Pashinyan said he was the one who banned him.
“I banned you from entering Armenia because you organized a rally against me in 2021 in Paris,” Pashinyan said.
Papazian denied the prime minister’s words, saying it is not his job to organize rallies.
“Pashinyan was insisting, I was denying. Then I said I am free to organize a rally in France. And if you are so irresponsible that you say in the presence of the French president that you banned my entry because I was holding a rally, it means that Armenia is not a democratic country,” he said and added that Macron was shocked.
