Armenian Foreign Ministry: draft peace agreement with Azerbaijan finalized

The Armenian Foreign Ministry has informed the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry through diplomatic channels that Armenia accepts Baku’s proposals on the two previously unresolved articles of the draft “Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan”. Yerevan proposed issuing a joint statement to announce the conclusion of the negotiations, but official Baku opted to make a unilateral statement instead.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry confirms that the draft agreement has been finalized and negotiations have been completed.

As a result, the peace agreement is ready to be signed. Armenia has expressed its readiness for consultations with Azerbaijan to determine the date and location of signing the document.
