Armenian and European music concert held in Russia’s Sochi

On May 18, the city of Sochi, Russia, hosted a concert titled At the Crossroads of Two Cultures, the city’s Concert and Philharmonic Association reported.
The event became a true musical journey uniting two unique traditions—European and Armenian. The hall was filled with the sounds of the Armenian duduk, blending with the powerful tones of the organ to create a unique atmosphere. The stage featured performances by Rafael Mkrtchyan (duduk) and Vladimir Korolevsky (organ).
The program included masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert and Léon Boëllmann, alongside Armenian folk songs arranged by renowned composer Komitas.
