Russian PM offers CIS to join EAEU customs transit system

During a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Dushanbe, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin offered CIS partners to join the mechanism of a unified customs transit system adopted in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

“To strengthen the foreign economic ties of the association, an agreement on a unified customs transit system has been adopted. It is open to all countries, allows to join transportation through EAEU territory, reduce business costs and increase the level of cross-border transport security, which is very important for all. We invite CIS partners to join this mechanism,” he said.
