I will never abandon my principles and values – Samvel Karapetyan

Businessman, philanthropist and head of the Tashir Group of Companies Samvel Karapetyan has issued a statement.

“Yesterday’s events once again demonstrated the complete failure of the current government. Sincere hatred towards the Armenian Apostolic Church, the disregard for national values, the inability to accept constructive criticism, and the painful desire to harshly suppress any dissent—unfortunately, this is an incomplete list of the ‘qualities’ of this government. But Armenia has always been known for its principled and fearless sons, and no power has yet been born that could break them. Yesterday, many people stood up against injustice, and I am sincerely grateful to them.

My homeland and my people have always been at the center of my attention, my life and work, and my family. That’s how it was, is, and always will be.

I will never abandon my principles and values, because they are rooted in Armenia itself—profound respect and love for my homeland, our traditions, our history, and our Church.
I am confident that we will unite and find a way out of the difficult situation surrounding our country. With God’s help,” the statement reads.
