Artsakh National Assembly factions make statement in support of MP David Galstyan

The factions of the Artsakh National Assembly issued a statement in support of David Galstyan, head of the “Justice” faction.

“As a result of mass detentions carried out in Armenia on June 25, 2025, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, head of the ‘Justice’ faction David Galstyan was also arrested. By the decision of the Armenian Court, a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months was chosen against Galstyan, as a result of which he is currently in custody.

The factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemn any actions carried out by the Armenian authorities that are politically motivated and unambiguously contradict the principles of democracy and undermine the possibility of pan-Armenian solidarity and mutual trust. For many years, David Galstyan carried out his activities exclusively within the framework of the legislative body of the Republic of Artsakh, consistently defending the interests of the Artsakh people and acting in the interests of the Armenian people,” the statement reads.
