‘Most likely to be arrested, but I don’t know what for’ — Narek Karapetyan

Narek Karapetyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) and nephew of arrested philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, suggested in a conversation with journalists that he is likely to be arrested, although he himself does not know what for.

“Investigators came to our apartment, they are conducting a search. We expected it, they are just a bit late…In all probability, I will be arrested, but I don’t know yet for what,” Karapetyan said.

Karapetyan noted that the decision to arrest him was related to the rally. “They had to find something—so they did,” he added.
