UN hopes situation around Armenian Apostolic Church gets resolved ‘within the framework of due process’

The UN hopes that the situation around the Armenian Apostolic Church will be resolved “within the framework of due process”, said Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General.

“We have seen what some of the events in Armenia [are], and we do hope that the situation gets resolved within the framework of due process,” Dujarric said during a press briefing in response to a RIA Novosti question about the arrests of Armenian clergy and growing pressure on the Armenian Apostolic Church.
