Digital catalogs of Shushi’s lost museums presented in Yerevan

The final presentation of the “Documenting for Preservation” project was held in Yerevan on July 8. The event was organized by the “Artsakh Culture and Tourism Development Agency” NGO and aimed to showcase the results of creating digital catalogs for four lost museums of Shushi city.

“Preservation of Artsakh’s cultural heritage today is one of the primary tasks for Artsakh and Armenia, as well as for Armenians all over the world,” said Sergey Shahverdyan, chairman of the Public Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Artsakh’s Occupied Territories.

During the presentation, the reconstructed fragments of the catalogs and the progress and methodology were presented. Experts from various fields spoke at the event, and a briefing was held to address the ongoing destruction of cultural heritage in the occupied territories of Artsakh.
