Armenia has never discussed, is not discussing, and will not discuss any transport link options that would be incompatible with its territorial integrity, sovereignty and jurisdiction, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan stated in a Facebook post.
“It is evident that there is some confusion in the Armenian media about Armenia’s position on the unblocking of regional transport links, and the media outlets see some contradictions in the statements made by Armenian officials.
To some extent, this is understandable, because the topic has numerous nuances, which sometimes get more complicated due to the use of specific terms such as rental, leasing, building lease, and outsourcing. Certainly, each of these terms can carry different meanings depending on what specifically it pertains to.
To clarify the issue for our esteemed members of the press, I would like to reiterate that the Republic of Armenia has never discussed, is not discussing and will not discuss any transport link options passing through its territory that would be incompatible with its territorial integrity, sovereignty and jurisdiction,” she said.
