As part of “The People Speak” project, Alpha News conducted surveys in Yerevan and Armenian-populated communities in the United States and Russia to gather citizens’ opinions on the most important topics in recent years.
One of the participants in the Alpha News survey said, “Ever since childhood, we were taught that the Turks cannot be trusted because they will eventually deceive us.”
According to those surveyed, Armenian-Turkish friendship is unacceptable.
“What is written in blood cannot be covered with a veil of friendship,” said one citizen.
At the same time, another participant in the Alpha News survey noted that proximity to Turkey could be beneficial for Armenia.
