Georgia offers mediation in Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has expressed readiness to facilitate the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, underscoring the importance of this step for strengthening peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The statement was made during his meeting with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan on the sidelines of the Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Turkmenistan.

Kobakhidze noted that the completion of the peace treaty discussions between Yerevan and Baku is a significant step toward resolving the conflict. Within the framework of the meeting, both sides also discussed the development of bilateral relations and possibilities of expanding cooperation across various sectors.

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili was also present at the meeting.
