World did nothing to stop tragedy in Nagorno-Karabakh – The Washington Post
In its August 8 article, The Washington Post drew attention to the tragic events in Nagorno-Karabakh, emphasizing the inaction of the international community.
The piece notes that for years, a community lived a tenuous, yet proud existence in their ancestral homeland, constantly fighting for it. However, a spiraling conflict led to a blockade, growing hunger and, finally, the wholesale evacuation of the population away from their homes.
“This isn’t the story of the Gaza Strip at least, not yet. It’s what befell Nagorno-Karabakh,” the article states, adding that in 2023, ethnic Armenians were forced to leave their homeland and the world essentially did nothing to stop the tragedy.
