Levon Aronian takes second place in Saint Louis rapid chess tournament

The rapid chess rounds have concluded at the Grand Chess Tour: Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2025 in the United States. Armenian GM Levon Aronian, now competing under the US flag, took second place.

Fabiano Caruana is first, with Maxime Vachier-Lagrave finishing third. The blitz tournament will follow next.

This year’s tournament in St. Louis features Levon Aronian, Fabiano Caruana, Gukesh Dommaraju, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Wesley So, Leinier Domínguez Pérez, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Lê Quang Liêm, Sam Shankland, and Grigoriy Oparin.
