Hayk Ter-Nersisyan on Russia-US negotiations

Each side has its own set of tools, political scientist Hayk Ter-Nersisyan told Alpha News, commenting on the Russia-US negotiations.

“Both sides understand where their red lines are. As superpowers, they also understand each other’s working style,” he said.

According to him, it is extremely important for Russia to maintain control over the captured territories, while the US is interested in turning the remaining part of Ukraine into a buffer zone.

The political scientist also added that the war in Ukraine gave the US the opportunity to sell liquefied gas to Europe.
