The “Zangezur corridor” is a strategic path to the future; once construction is complete, it will become the shortest route to the Turkic world, Turkic republics, and the Far East, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said on social media.
“According to a 30-year forecast, the project will generate a profit of 147.6 billion Turkish lira (approximately $3.6 billion), with a freight volume of 15 million tons. We view the Kars-Iğdır-Aralık-Dilucu railway line not just as a transportation route, but as a strategic investment that will change the region’s destiny. This line will strengthen the Middle Corridor and make our country an even more vital hub for international trade,” he added.
