Russia did not propose extraterritorial transit through Armenia – Maria Zakharova

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Moscow had not initiated the creation of an extraterritorial regime for the transit of passengers and goods through Armenian territory during discussions on unblocking transport links with Azerbaijan.

According to her, given the shared economic space within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), such a transit format was not only never proposed but had not even been considered at a theoretical level.
