The American magazine Forbes spotlighted Armenian winemaking, naming the country the new frontrunner in the debate over the birthplace of wine.
“Armenia’s wine story spans 6,000 years—from the Areni-1 cave, the world’s oldest winery, to a modern revival reshaping its global future,” wrote journalist Layne Randolph.
She also highlighted the brands shaping Armenia’s new wine map:
Zorah Wines ages Areni in traditional karas, earning international acclaim;
InVino, the country’s first wine bar, has woven wine culture into Yerevan’s urban life;
Gevorkian Winery has been experimenting with both tradition and innovation;
Krya is restoring neglected old vines in Vayots Dzor.
