The popular Italian outlet Informacibo has published an article celebrating Armenian lavash, calling it “a cornerstone of local gastronomy and a symbol of hospitality.”

“No trip to Armenia is complete without experiencing its exquisite cuisine, especially lavash, the ancient bread that accompanies every meal. In 2014, lavash was declared by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Thin, fragrant, baked in a tonir and ready for various fillings, this bread can be found in every restaurant, bakery, and market throughout Armenia,” the article notes.
