Azerbaijan and Turkey need economically weak Armenia – Robert Margaryan
The agreement signed in the US between Azerbaijan and Armenia is just a piece of paper, political analyst Robert Margaryan said in an interview with Alpha News.
“Pashinyan needs this piece of paper for the election campaign and to make some promises to the people again,” Margaryan said.
According to him, there can be no peace—especially judging by the statements of the President of Azerbaijan.
“Aliyev says that they must be ready for war at any moment. This shows that this piece of paper will not give us anything,” the political analyst noted.
According to Margaryan, Azerbaijan and Turkey—both hostile toward Armenians—want to see Armenia economically weakened.
“They need Armenia to be weak, both economically and militarily. Azerbaijan and Turkey will try by all means to delay the final establishment of peace and to obtain more concessions from the Armenian authorities,” he noted.
Margaryan noted that the Armenian Prime Minister’s statement about an “unimpeded path” for Azerbaijan is just beautiful words that are used to deceive the people again.
