Criminal proceedings initiated over murder of Parakar community head Volodya Grigoryan

Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the murder of Volodya Grigoryan, head of the Parakar community, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reports. The case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 155 of the Criminal Code (murder), Part 1 of Article 44-155 (attempted murder), and Part 1 of Article 335 (illegal circulation of firearms and their essential components).

Forensic medical examinations have been ordered, and the investigation is ongoing.

On September 23 at 11:52 PM, the Police of Armenia received a report of gunfire on the Yerevan Highway near Merdzavan village in Armavir Province. Two individuals were killed, and one was injured.
