This is political persecution – Gayane Aslamazyan on Archbishop Mikael
The decision to leave Archbishop Mikael’s preventive measure unchanged clearly indicates that this is political persecution, and such persecutions have been ongoing in our country for seven years now, actress Gayane Aslamazyan said in an interview with Alpha News.
“There is not much time left—we will not even have time to blink before the current authorities are re-elected, because people are not disturbed by these events, the impunity, or the punishment of the innocent. Very soon we will be saying eight years, nine years, because for some reason, people do not rise up,” Aslamazyan noted.
When asked why there is such silence, the actress emphasized, “A new class has emerged that has started receiving financial support, their lives have improved, and that’s why they don’t stand up. They have pushed aside their values—human and national—and prioritize their everyday life, which is now slightly better than before. They do not see a problem. It is already difficult under such conditions to mobilize people or attempt to change the value system.”
