FIFA has fined the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) 13,000 Swiss francs (approximately $16,000) following Armenia’s national team matches against Portugal and Ireland.
The FFA was fined 12,000 Swiss francs for team misconduct, breaches of order and security regulations during the game, pitch invasion or attempted invasion, and use of fireworks or other objects during the Armenia-Portugal match.
An additional fine of 1,000 Swiss francs were imposed for disciplinary violations and safety issues, including the use of fireworks and other items during the match against Ireland.
The sanctions were issued by FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee under relevant articles of the code, which hold the host association responsible for ensuring safety. In case of repeated violations, stricter measures may be imposed—including partial stadium closures or matches played behind closed doors.
