Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan has sent a message to the residents of the city.

The time has come to stand up for our city and our dignity. At this moment, actions are underway at City Hall aimed at removing the mayor. But we must understand that this is not just about one person—it’s about the independence of the entire city. The state must not violate Gyumri’s autonomy.

We, the residents of Gyumri, are obliged to preserve our right to elect and defend our mayor.
