‘Repression by authorities who have lost the people’s trust will eventually affect everyone’ – Our Way movement

The Our Way movement has expressed its support for the mayor of Gyumri, who is facing open persecution by the Armenian authorities.

“The popular movement ‘Our Way’ expresses its unwavering support for the elected mayor of Gyumri, who is being subjected to blatantly disproportionate and cruel persecution.

In the current situation, every rational citizen of our country must understand that the obvious repressive actions of authorities who have lost the people’s trust will, sooner or later, affect everyone. If the people do not raise their voices and take a stand in these days, the Republic of Armenia will very soon turn into a total dictatorship,” the movement’s statement reads.
