Catholicos Karekin II meets with clergy of Shirak and Artik dioceses

On October 31, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians and Supreme Patriarch, met with the clergy of the Shirak and Artik Dioceses, accompanied by Bishop Narek Avagyan of the Artik Diocese.

His Holiness extended his paternal blessing and love to the priests, expressing concern over the unjust sentencing and imprisonment of Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan of the Shirak Diocese, which has significantly impacted the spiritual life of the diocese.

The head of the Armenian Apostolic Church urged the clergy to continue their salvific ministry during these challenging times with unwavering devotion to God and a strong sense of duty to the homeland—strengthening spiritual care for the faithful, deepening prayer life, and inspiring the people with faith, hope, and love.
