The current Armenian government is pleased with everything happening in the country today, political strategist Karen Kocharyan said live on Alpha News, commenting on the issue of wheat imported into Armenia through Azerbaijan.

“They’re delighted by the defeat, saying, ‘we’ll become independent,’ and they rejoice in all such situations. But, as far as I remember, Armenia has not faced bread shortages since the early 1990s. So it’s unclear why they’re rejoicing. This affects a certain segment of our society—people who are ready to believe anything,” Kocharyan said.

When asked whether the decision to revoke the license of the Electric Networks of Armenia was politically motivated, the political strategist remarked, “Does anyone doubt that this process is political? I have never doubted it for a moment. Even if you ask people who aren’t familiar with the matter, they’ll tell you it’s a political process aimed against Samvel Karapetyan.”
