Armenian banks will begin issuing co-branded cards that combine the national payment system ArCa with China’s UnionPay, as well as with MasterCard. Agreements have been signed with both international payment systems.
According to the arrangements, these cards will be serviced at ArCa rates within Armenia, and at UnionPay or MasterCard rates abroad. The cards are expected to be added to Armenian banks’ product portfolios in 2026.
The co-branded ArCa–UnionPay and ArCa–MasterCard cards will offer users both local and international benefits. Within Armenia, ArCa cards will provide all bonuses, including a planned 2% cashback on cashless purchases starting in 2026. Abroad, the cards will grant access to all advantages, including Apple Pay and Google Pay services.
