Vahram Martirosyan, founder of the Armenian messenger app Zangi, announced that the service is experiencing large-scale blocks in Russia. According to him, the app is inaccessible in about 90% of the country. Access issues have also been reported in Algeria, Indonesia, India, Uganda, and the UAE.
Martirosyan noted that Zangi has become one of the most heavily targeted messaging apps: during blocks, users lose the ability to send even text messages, whereas restrictions on WhatsApp and Telegram generally affect only voice calls.
