Armenian organizations in France urge solidarity for Artsakh Armenians return

Forty Armenian organizations in France have issued a joint statement supporting the return of the people of Artsakh to their homeland and other fundamental rights, marking the second anniversary of the corresponding order of the UN International Court of Justice.
“We, the Armenian unions of France, take responsibility to speak out about the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, who are being forcibly silenced, to remind the world that peace without justice is an illusion, and that the right of return is not a slogan but a prerequisite for reparations. Therefore, we appeal for solidarity. Our demands are as follows:
🔹Armenian prisoners held in Baku must be released immediately
🔹International protection of the Armenian cultural heritage of Artsakh must be implemented
🔹The right of return must be realized in practice under UN supervision
🔹European states must act together so that the decisions of international justice do not remain only on paper
We cannot allow an entire people, whose only ‘sin’ is the desire to live freely on their land, to be condemned to exile and oblivion. The right of Artsakh Armenians to return is not a distant hope, it is a command of justice. Defending it means defending our common system of human values,” the statement reads.
