A group of Armenian experts has arrived in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

This marks the first charter flight from Yerevan to the capital of Azerbaijan in the past 30 years.

This visit is a reciprocal step following the Azerbaijani delegation’s participation at a round table in Yerevan on October 21-22, and it implies the participation of Armenian experts in a similar event in Baku. The plane landed in the capital of Azerbaijan in the morning, RIA Novosti reported from Heydar Aliyev Airport.

The Armenian government allocated 17.5 million drams ($45,600) for organizing the charter flight Yerevan-Baku and back to ensure the participation of five Armenian experts in the round table on November 21-22.

The justification for the decision stated that participation in the discussion would help intensify contacts between representatives of civil societies of Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as establish mechanisms of trust between the societies of the two countries.
