Negotiations with Turkey may be possible, but placing hopes on it is mistake – Andranik Baloyan

Andranik Baloyan, executive director and co-founder of the Armenian Eagles Foundation, spoke with Alpha News about the organization’s activities, goals, and plans.
He noted that the foundation was established in 2016, after the four-day war, with the aim of supporting soldiers.
“We realized that the best way to support our soldiers is by strengthening the villages and the frontline. We visit different villages in Tavush, Syunik, and Gegharkunik. The villagers present their ideas, and instead of giving money, we provide equipment—whether it is a greenhouse or a sewing factory. This gives villagers the chance to stay in their birthplace and continue supporting the soldiers,” Andranik Baloyan said.
He noted that since 2021, the foundation has also been implementing educational programs.
Speaking about Armenia’s current foreign policy, Baloyan said that the authorities are moving in the wrong direction. According to him, a process of Turkification is underway in the country.
“Today’s three key players are Russia, Iran, and, unfortunately, Turkey. There may be contacts or negotiations with Turkey, but placing hopes on it is a mistake. How can Turks wish good for Armenia?” Baloyan said.
