Ishkhan Saghatelyan calls on everyone to gather in Etchmiadzin and support Catholicos

Ishkhan Saghatelyan, representative of the ARF Supreme Body and MP from the “Armenia” faction, announced that he would be at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin today at 3:30 p.m. to express his support for the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

“The pillar of our national identity needs the protection and support of the Armenian people.
Tomorrow my friends and I will be at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to show support for His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch and the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church.
Dear compatriots, I urge and ask you to come to Etchmiadzin tomorrow, take part in the liturgy, and express your support and assistance through your presence,” Saghatelyan said.

Earlier, a statement was released on behalf of 10 bishops demanding the resignation of Karekin II, in which it was said that today at 5:00 p.m. they would go to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to demand the resignation of the Catholicos of All Armenians.
