Archbishops Abraham, Vazgen, and Bishop Gevork leave Supreme Spiritual Council – Fr. Yesayi Artenyan

Fr. Yesayi Artenyan, head of the Information Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, told journalists that, by the decision of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Archbishops Abraham Mkrtchyan (Primate of the Diocese of Vayots Dzor), Vazgen Mirzakhanyan (Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Diocese in the Baltic States), and Bishop Gevork Saroyan (Primate of the Diocese of Masyatsotn) have stepped down from the Supreme Spiritual Council.

Commenting on yesterday’s events at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Artenyan added that the Catholicos of All Armenians remains steadfast and resolute in his mission. He emphasized that nothing has changed in the regular activities of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
