Holy Etchmiadzin deprived of right to freely use state- and community-owned land

The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has lost the right to gratuitous use of land plots owned by the state and communities. This decision was made today at the session of the Armenian government.

The draft law will be submitted to parliament for approval. At the same time, the Land Code will retain the article that regulates the free provision of state- and community-owned land for the use of the Church.
